William R. DrakeSenior Geoscientist
William R. Drake is a Senior Geoscientist at Kimmeridge, supporting the Reservoir Characterization and New Ventures team. Mr. Drake has over 18 years of experience in asset-scale to basin-scale characterization of stratigraphy, structure, source rocks, and overall petroleum systems in most of the basins from Texas to western Canada. Prior to joining Kimmeridge, Mr. Drake served as the Geoscience Advisor at Jonah Energy, focusing on new ventures, business development, asset planning, and active operations. Mr. Drake earlier held the position of Staff Geologist with QEP Resources and with Pioneer Natural Resources, concentrating on Permian and Rocky Mountain assets and prospect generation.
Mr. Drake holds a B.S. from University of California, Santa Barbara in Geological Science and a M.S. from University of Northern Arizona in Geology. He is a licensed Professional Geologist in California, Arizona, Utah, and Wyoming.
