John FossumPrincipal, Finance
John Fossum is a Principal at Kimmeridge, where he leads portfolio company finance. Prior to joining Kimmeridge, Mr. Fossum was a Managing Director at Petrie Partners, an energy-focused investment bank. Prior to Petrie, he was a Vice President at the Energy & Minerals Group in Houston, where he focused on private equity investments in the exploration and production and midstream sectors. Earlier in his career he held various roles of increasing responsibility with TPG Capital and First Reserve Corp. where he was a member of each firm’s North American focused energy investment team. Mr. Fossum began his career in the Energy & Power group at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Fossum holds a B.A. in Economics from Rice University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
