Blake BurgetVP, Reservoir Evaluation and Engineering

Blake Burget is a Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at Kimmeridge, where he leads their Reservoir Evaluation & New Ventures efforts. With nearly 15 years of experience in oil and gas, Blake brings a deep technical and economic understanding of North American resource plays, spanning well-level to basin-scale evaluations. He and his team maintain a proprietary North American inventory database which characterizes ~250,000 undrilled horizontal locations (which represents ~ 20 years of inventory at the current TIL cadence) and has authored multiple research pieces on reservoir engineering, exploration, capital efficiency & inventory characterization.
Before joining Kimmeridge in 2019, Blake held roles at Newfield Exploration and Cimarex Energy, where he built a foundation in reservoir characterization, development planning, and transaction analysis. Throughout his career, he has planned hundreds of horizontal wells and evaluated over 100 acquisition or divestiture opportunities, ~20 of which transacted, totaling approximately $5 billion in deal value.

Mr. Burget earned his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2012.
